Rod Doris - Our Remax Man We used to live in Scarborough and wanted to move closer to our daughter. We had visited our daughter in Bowmanville for a few years and were impressed by the small town environment and the lack of the hustle bustle of Scarborough. That was in 2008. So we met with Rod Doris who treated us more like family than a customer. First Rod came to our Scarborough home and went through the pluses and minuses of what we had and how to best prepare for the sale and maximize on our return. Within a couple of weeks we were very pleased with the sale of our home and looked forward to finding a new residence in Bowmanville. Rod took us to several homes in Bowmanville and allowed us as much time as we wanted to look at each property. Finally we chose a bungalow within 10 minutes drive of our daughter and the rest is history. Rod provided us with all the information about the Bowmanville area. He fought for us to obtain the best price possible. He even provided us with a central vacuum system when the previous owner took the original. Rod keeps in touch through his news letters and occasionally drops by to ask how we are and to remind us that he is our Remax Man and will be there for us when we need to move on. We would certainly recommend Rod Doris to anyone looking to sell and/or purchase a new home. He is the best there is!

My Wife and I first meet Rod Doris in the spring of 2001 while looking to relocate to the Durham area. Rod was more than generous with his time and resource trying to help us relocate ASAP as we were moving three teenage children and needed to settle them into to their new surroundings for the new school year. We were successful and found our home for the next 16 years. 11 years later as our home started to develop more guest room then room in use, we of course are contacting Rod who has been as presence in our live whether at the gym, round about in the community or trying to help our Son find a new home (unfortunately nothing was available but he did obtain him a mortgage for his new build) Our search with Rod was long and arduous, a multitude of house were viewed, and Rod had firm faith that our new home was out there somewhere. Many many viewing later the new home was found. Our new home has met or exceeded all of our expectation. Shortly after this we selected Rod and his team to sell our other home. A slow period directly after the massive boom this spring made for a challenge to sell this property at a good price point. This was a challenge that was meet by Rod and he made sure that everything necessary to sell our home was done. Our house was sold it took a little bit longer to get our price due to the downturn but we were able to get it sold for a good price we could live with. Thanks Again

We really cannot thank Rod enough for all of the hard work that he put forth in helping us find our first house. Rod was always there, day or night to answer any questions that we had. We looked at houses for almost a year because of the sellers market and all of the bidding wars. There were many times that a pre-emptive would go in on a property that we were interested in, last minute too, Rod always got our offers done on short notice on more than one occasion. Rod always made time to show us numerous properties. He always had the information printed off and ready to go before we stepped foot inside a house. When it came time to put in an offer, Rod would always go in person to present our offer so we had the best chance possible in the tough market. Rod always stayed positive even if a seller didn't accept our offer. At times we felt like we might not get the house that we wanted but Rod was always there to try and keep us positive. Rod was able to transform our view towards such matter. 2 months ago we decided to move from southern Ontario to GTA. We were worried that our modest budget was not reconcilable with the prime location. Well, thanks to the unmatched professionalism displayed by Rod, when it came time to buy the house we loved, of course we ended up with an unexpected bidding wars. I remember talking to Rod on the phone that afternoon. His expert advice and calm negotiating got us our house, and I'm not sure that would have happened with another realtor. We felt throughout this process that Rod wanted the best for us and were there to represent our interests-we trusted him implicitly, and that was more than earned. He was able to find a very nice and suitable townhouse we were looking for, at the desired location, within our budget, and in a relatively short period of time.
